Our Krav Maga Conditioning Program offers specialized and unique fitness classes that you can’t get anywhere else. Whether you are interested in fitness classes only, or you wish to enhance your Krav Maga self defense and fighting training, the Krav Maga Conditioning Program brings a fresh experience to the total body workout. We welcome students of all levels in our fitness classes. OUR CLASSES: KM Bag - Where fitness meets fighting! Heavy bags, Medicine balls, Kettle bells and jump ropes are just a few of the tools used in this class. This class features a combination of strength training, dynamic flexibility, and heavy bag work. The focus of this class is to emphasize muscular strength and cardiovascular endurance. Students will learn correct body alignment to maximize efficiency, while refining Krav Maga technique through repetition, drills, and punch kick combinations on the bag. Boxing gloves or bag gloves are required. KB Bag / KB Rounds - What is a Kettle Bell? The Kettle Bell was originally developed in Russia as a form of strength training for athletes and military. It is a dynamic tool that moves and rotates within the hand. The kettle bell’s offset center of gravity demands constant control and concentration from the student and is a highly effective tool from developing strength and power. KB Bag and KB Rounds combine strength training exercises with the Kettle Bell and bag work, focus mitt, and/or Thai pad training. These classes are designed to increase student’s strength, power, and performance in Krav Maga, fighting, or any other athletic skill. KM Cardio - Just like Cardio kickboxing…but better. This class features a rhythmically-based continuous motion class utilizing basic Krav Maga combatives in order to stress the cardio-respiratory and cardiovascular system. Students perform punches, kicks and athletic movements to music to the mirror. Within the warm up, an emphasis is placed on basic yoga poses that increase one’s balance, strength, and flexibility. Gloves are not required for this class. Cardio Bag - Heavy bag work, KM Cardio…need we say more? This class combines KM cardio and heavy bag training. Cardio bag begins with a rhythmical warm-up working KM technique, then moves into drills and combinations on the bag. An emphasis is placed on interval training throughout the duration of class to stress cardiovascular strength. Class concludes with core training and/or a stretch segment. Boxing gloves or bag gloves are required. Sport Circuit - Train like an athlete. Designed to work on all components of athletic skill. This class is done in a station format. Each station has different exercises and drills that increase balance, coordination, agility, speed, power, and flexibility. There is a large focus on functional movements, stability, and strength. Yoga  This is a class for students to work on breathing techniques while increasing strength, flexibility and blood circulation. Basic yoga poses will be practiced and relaxation exercises will conclude each class. Program levelsAll new students are encouraged to take this 90 minute introductory class one time within the first two weeks of training. This class will serve as an orientation to Krav Maga and provide you with the basic skills and knowledge to participate in KM Level 1. This entry level class is designed for all new Krav Maga students. The goal of the class is to teach the basics of self defense and fighting. Students will learn Krav Maga's fighting stance and movement, various punches, kicks from standing position as well as from on the ground, elbows and knees, and how to defend against punches, chokes, headlocks and wrist grabs. Students who train an average of two to three times per week should expect to complete the curriculum in four months before testing into KM Level 2. Upon completing KM Level 1, students will participate in a Yellow Belt workshop and test into KM Level 2. In this intermediate level class, students will continue to review and hone the skills learned in KM Level 1, as well as learn additional punches and kicks, punch defenses with counterattacks, kick defenses, and defenses against various chokes, headlocks, and bearhugs. Students who train an average of two to three times per week should expect to complete the curriculum for this level in six months before testing into KM Level 3. Upon completion of KM Level 2, students will test into KM Level 3. In this intermediate class students will continue to train on strikes, defenses against strikes, and self defense, including more advanced techniques that involve defending against weapons such as knives, guns, and sticks. Students who train two to three times per week should expect to be ready to test for Green Belt in nine months. This class was designed specifically for Green Belt students interested in more advanced training with emphasis on Blue Belt techniques. The curriculum includes additional punches and kicks, more defenses against punches and kicks, defenses against knives, guns, and sticks, as well as advanced ground fighting techniques. Green Belt students are encouraged to continue training in KM Level 3 classes as well. Students who train two to three times per week should expect to be ready to test for Blue Belt in twelve months. This class is for advanced students only and covers all the advanced curriculum including fighting, ground fighting, advanced self defense, all weapons defenses, and third party protection. This class will teach defenses against a variety of armed and unarmed attacks relevant to peace officers. Use of force issues will be incorporated into the training. Motivating kids through exercise, personal safety and discipline is a powerful way to help them build their confidence and self esteem. km-X is a dynamic self-defense program that motivates and enriches kids with crucial life skills so that they can become champions in all aspects of their life.
